On today's episode we are beginning a series, "reflections: looking back to better look ahead" as we begin to prepare for 2021. I am sitting down to chat with Melody Shannon on exuding joy and Christ in our day to day, where true joy is found, dangers of comparison and how to practically rehearse truth to ourselves. Melody has taught art for 21 years at Providence Academy and is now in her 5th year at Kingsport Christian Academy. She has a contagious love for Jesus…I am excited for you to get to meet her!

I am hopeful this series will help us to intentionally set aside some time to contemplate the past year of 2020. Where have we seen God move and work? What areas is he stirring our hearts to rise up and follow him in greater obedience? Are there any spaces where we might not have walked as he would have us or possibly even failed? These self-reflection questions can help us gauge his potential leading and even possible re-directing for 2021.
